Invite yourself into growth and re-birth with the simple 60 second exercise below!
In the Northern Hemisphere, the March Equinox represents the start of Spring and a time where energies of growth and creativity are at their highest. There is something invigorating and vital to the human spirit in creating. Whether it’s a new life, a professional endeavor, or a healthier lifestyle our astrological cycle guides us to create in spring! This equinox marks the moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator – the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s equator – from south to north. Spiritually, the equinox, where the days light and dark are virtually equal allows us to delve into, accept and celebrate the duality of life. The periods of growth and release, of external and internal, the sweet and the bitter in life. We are reminded that in everything there is a cycle of birth, growth, release, and return to mother earth.
In these times of external focus and growth it’s easy to become unsure, impatient and ungrounded.
Stand in tadasana and root all four corners of the feet down, big toe ball mount, little toe ball mount, press the inner and out heal down and out, lift the arches and feel padha bandha.
Feel the breath in any space it is moving the body.
Notice your muladhara or root chakra; your connection the Mother Earth and your sense of safety and security.
Slowly allow the energy to travel up the spine along the shishumna nadi to the heart center, anahata chakra, and listen for what the heart longs to create.
Feel the grounded energy of intentional creation and rebirth flood outward into the entire being.
Shanti, peace and love 💖
